Jason 200lbs to 170lbs In March of 2022

I was 53 years old, 5’8” and 200 pounds. That was my heaviest ever and I felt sloppy and tired. I went to my GP for a physical and he told me I had crossed the line and was now officially obese. I was fat and in a funk.    I had trained with Irvin for a little while before that time when he was working at a corporate gym in Hollywood. He was easy to be around, funny and was able to push me to do better. Because of that initial experience, I decided to track him down. I was still following him on Instagram so I reached out to see if he would train me at his new gym. Irvin got me on the books and had a plan of action.   The first day he had me stand on this contraption that measured my weight and body fat. I was 200 pounds and had a body fat of 25.3%. I committed to three days a week but when I started seeing results, I began seeing him four, and sometimes five, days a week. The training was focused and intense but also hilarious and super fun. My number one rule in any relationship is to be entertained and let me tell you, listening to Irvin’s stories was absolutely entertaining! He had me using a food journal, got me to quit drinking and had shifted my attitude. I was actually having fun at the gym – something this non athlete and sportsphobe had never experienced before. Equally as important was that I was seeing consistent results. By the end of June, 2022, I was the fittest I had ever been in my adult life. I stood on that contraption again and was SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!! I weighed 170lbs and had 19.5% body fat. Through great coaching, encouragement, and lots of laughs with Irvin, I had dropped 30 pounds and 6% body fat.   Irvin is smart, passionate, talented and finds joy in seeing his clients make progress. He knows how to push people to be better without judging or shaming. He is sincere, honest, and kind. I would recommend his training to anyone. I would especially recommend him to anyone who is intimidated by the gym or people who go to the gym. He changed the way I feel about fitness and because of that I have confidence I hadn’t tapped into before. Irvin is THE MAN!

Before I started with Irvin, I had tried it all on my own. I did weight loss pills, tried different diets like keto. Tried eating less. I didn’t know I was doing it all wrong. Should’ve realized when nothing was working. I was at my heaviest weight in November 2023 at 165lbs, And that’s when I started with Irvin. He set up my exercises and my meal plan. Did weekly calls and was always available for any question I had.  He kept me accountable for 4 months. Pushed me and motivated me to keep being consistent. Especially when the scale wasn’t moving he reassured me always. And I finished my coaching with him in March 2024. With my best weight in over 5 years, at 140lbs. He was the best decision I’ve made for myself. I feel so much better about myself and I didn’t think I ever would. I don’t think I would have been able to do it with out him. His coaching has taught me a different way of eating and staying active. And I’m so great full.

My experience training with Irvin has been nothing but great. When I first started I had very low self esteem, depressed I was even regretting making the consultation appointment with him. I still went and he had me do a work out. He didn’t have me do anything I couldn’t handle for about 2 months he did have me do body weight because it’s what my body was able to handle at the time. He basically told me he’s there to help me out and I felt I was able to trust and believe him so I went for it . Fast forward 10 months later I have lost over 30 pounds. I can’t picture myself not going to the gym. I can even go to a regular public gym and not feel uncomfortable. I live a more active life style but Irvin pushed me he was my trainer helping me out but he’s also a friend to talk to. He supports you physically and mentally, he hears you out and even jokes around with you. I look forward to working out now unlike before. My name is Kristen, I’m 27 and I’ve been an avid runner for the last four years. I fell in love with long-distance racing, and tackled a couple half marathons and marathons. I came to Irvin after a series of running-related injuries and realizing I needed to improve my strength routine to run more efficiently. I’ve always had gym-shyness and avoided it altogether because I didn’t have as much knowledge about strength training and gym equipment as I do running. Irvin was incredibly patient, constantly explaining all aspects of the workouts and increasing strength. I really enjoyed our weekly phone check-ins. I used to be scared to “get bigger” because of how it might affect my running, but after working with Irvin and learning so much, I’ve been able to get stronger, run more effectively, and enjoy racing again.
